happy 2 year to us

yes folks it's been two years! as of August 9th..we're now onto our third year of marriage. whoa! the last two years have been pretty good to us. for our two year we enjoyed a nice seafood dinner followed by spending time with the fam in SLC..pretty chill, but there's nothing like spending alone time with the hubs. love you sweets..

new findings

last week when i went home for a couple days, i spent some quality time planning a wedding with one of my best friends sarah beth(yay! she's getting married and we're so excited!). while on her comp i came across some pics of our wedding day that she had neglected to share. she kindly emailed them a couple days ago and i wanted to share them:)

first time

So i've been dying to see twilight again once it hit the cheap theater in rexburg. Finally last friday ryan caved and took me. He knew he was going to eventually see it anyway...And as we were thinking about it..we could not recall a time when we just went to the movies alone. We THINK we did when we were dating, but we're pretty sure we have yet to since we've been married. if you know ryan and our story you know we didn't really even date..haha..we just started hanging out and it clicked. we rarely went on dates alone. We've gone out to eat alone, but that's been the extent of our dates. So yay..our first movie alone was twilight..haha..something i'll always remember.

and if you're curious as to what ryan thought of it...he laughed the whole time. not WITH the movie but AT it. haha..i couldn't blame him. half the time i was laughing with him. But he did say he was amused. and I'll take it!

my best friend

So last night i was talking with one of my best friends on instant message and we were talking about relationships and how cheesy is fun in the beginning because it gives you butterflies and such, but that with time it gets old. and i said something along the lines of..yeah..cheesy left mine and ryan's relationship a long time ago..he makes a joke out of everything now. and i may have said it kind of negatively. and she said:

"honestly, i love how yours and ryan's relationship is so real and funny and i definitely want something like that because you guys really seem like best friends."

shame on me...i don't know why i took that for granted...

It kinda made me reminisce to when ryan and i were dating so i thought i'd dig up some old photos...i'm constantly laughing with him..

oh "the ready face"...ryan used to make this face in EVERY picture and everyone would laugh and say wow ryan you look so ready for the camera and ryan would say well what if that's my "ready face"?...haha..i guess you had to be there.

happy anniversary to us!

Although we did celebrate our anniversary in myrtle beach, on the day of we were in Utah with all of my family for aug. 9th. It wasn't a very eventful day and i was trying to finish breaking dawn while ryan sat around. My mummi (english translation: grandma) wasn't very happy with me needless to say..haha..she started pointing at me rambling on in finnish, so my mother had to translate. "All he wants to do is cuddle and make out with her and she's ignoring him and reading that book!" and then she called me a choice word i won't mention and cackled to herself(she has the greatest laugh)..i tried defending myself, i mean com'mon it was breaking dawn!..haha..But she would have none of it...so i stopped reading my book, which didn't neccessary make a difference. We just ended up sitting around talking to my family any. Oh well...we decided we still needed to do something so we went out to dinner at red lobster for some delicious seafood(well the best you can do in utah anyway). And then we just went back and hung out with my family more. Ryan was kinda disappointed thinking it was our 1st anniversary and it wasn't as big of deal as you make it out to be in your head. It's okay..we still got to be together that day! i love him so much and i'm so grateful for all he does for me! He's been the best husband anyone could ask for. Obviously we've had our tough times..it's the first year, but i know we've grown from them and have become a stronger couple because of them!

This was our honeymoon spot for the first few days..Johnson Mill. It was a little country-like bed and breakfast. Our room over looked Mt. Timpanogos. We loved it and plan on going back as soon as we can!
