enjoying what we can

Recently ryan and i have been pretty bitter about the weather in rexburg. Only a week away from may and we are still getting SNOW! ridiculous i know...summer will never come. But starting this past sunday we were in the 60's and low 70s! And today is still pretty gorgeous. You folks on the east coast or the west coast are probably thinkin we're crazy since you have been enjoying 80-90 degree weather for the past couple months, but let me tell you! being in the 60's is a wonderful thing! On sunday ryan and i were able to go to the park and and be in shorts and tshirts and completely enjoy ourselves! We did some swinging on the swings and took a nice walk around the park. It was really relaxing! But we aren't getting our hopes us that summer is here...we are supposed to get some flurries of lame snow tomorrow! But until then we're just gonna try and take in the good weather today!

the other boleyn girl

Alright..So last night whitni and I decided we wanted to go see The Other Boleyn Girl. Holly had mentioned a few times that she wanted to see it and i saw a couple previews and thought yeah...that looks intriguing. We decided we wouldn't make the boys watch it with us so they went and saw 10,000 BC. Okay...had i known what this movie was really about and known it was about King Henry VIII and his wives, i probably wouldn't have seen it. Through out the whole thing i was frustrated, sad, speechless, angry, disappointed, etc...And normally I am one who cries at all movies, but I was so shocked at the movie I couldn't even cry until whitni and i both got out of the movie and saw the husbands and then the tears came pouring out! I haven't been able to stop thinking about the movie since last night because it left me with such a horrible taste in my mouth! Unless you are a history buff and interested in this depressing story i would suggest steering clear of this movie!

puppy hungry

Most people (or women anyway) get baby hungry, but since ryan and i are nowhere near ready for a baby..we have become puppy hungry! haha..my family (namely the parents and the sisters) aren't necessarily dog people..and i wasn't either until i met ryan! But i'm not a BIG dog person cuz quite frankly big dog make me nervous..i'm a little dog person. Ryan and I recently found the sweetest little miniature dachshund, but since we live in an apartment that doesn't allow pets..we are left to be puppy hungry and without this cute little puppy we want! this is tucker..isn't he the cutest thing you've ever seen??

TWILIGHT OBSESSION

For those of you that don't know this about me..I am OBSESSED with the Twilight series (vampire books). I actually used to really not like to read but these books got me HOOKED! The fourth book isn't coming out until august so i've tried to occupy myself with other things. But recently i got my best friend whitni hooked on them as well! She read the 3 books in 4 days!!..haha..go whit!..SO..now i have her to hype me up all over again! The series is now being made into movies. TWILIGHT comes out on dec. 12. 2008 and i am STOKED!

like family?..of just too close...

So this past weekend we were hanging out with weston and whitni as we always do..and we decided to go down to the clubhouse to play some pool. couple verses couple. There I was complaining about how i REALLY didn't want to go back to school (out of the four of us, I was going to be the ONLY one in school this summer-something i was slightly bitter about)..when weston began to jokingly console me by saying.."babe..i'm taking classes just so you don't have to be the only one in school." mind you..I nor ryan heard the "babe" part. and I started to thank wes when whitni started laughing and blurted out, "did you hear what he just said?!....he called you babe.." weston under his breath.."shut up..shut up."...haha..it gave us a pretty good laugh at weston's expense...like family? or just a little too close?

things we miss...

I've been getting several people commenting about how i haven't posted for awhile. So since there really isn't much going on with the hayes family...ryan and i have been chatting about things that we really miss!

1. Now that we are a quarter through april and still getting snow..i've realized even more than before how much i miss my summer clothes!! my reef flip flop and buckle capris are a major must for warm weather and i miss wearing them!!

2. Yesterday i had a dream about souplantation and it made me realize how much i miss california eateries!! i miss souplantation (the best salad/soup bar ever), point loma seafoods (the best shrimp tacos/seafood ever), rockin baja lobster (the best little lobster tails ever), and finally yogurt mill (the best yogurt ever)!!!

3. I miss all things south carolina..The mom and dad-in-law, oscar(ryan's little mini dachshund), the weather(aside from the humidity), bubba gumps, all the green, the old architecture(i want a house just like the ones in downtown Charleston), and the beach!

4. Living with a man has is upsides, haha..but i do miss having my girl time with all my roomies who are now all over the states! But no worries folks i wouldn't change being with the hubs for anything!

5. Although i am lucky enough to see my family at least once a month..I miss not being closer to them! My sisters and mom get to spent time together on a daily basis and i miss not being able to join them! We just love each other!!!
