hidden places of rexburg

If you have ever been to rexburg..you know that downtown rexburg can't really be called "down town"..just more like main street..haha..and when you steer away from main street, the streets are really narrow and the buildings are kind of hidden so you don't really know unless you look, that in these old buildings there are cute little places like: cupcakes shop..bagel place..pretzel parlor..frozen yogurt place..hot dog place(or franks as they call them) and a candy shop. Well..we have always seen this place (or places) near the dollar theater, but they're just on this random street and no one ever talks about it..so we weren't really sure what to think. But on saturday night we went on a little double date with wes and whit. We started off at amici's italian restaurant(where i work) and then went to see vantage point(LOVED IT..by the way!) we were a little early to our movie..so we thought lets just check it out. It was SO cute!

and here is the little pretzel parlor. weston and whitni got a parmesan pretzel and a cinnamon sugar pretzel. i was too full to try them but supposedly they tasted pretty good!

i just wish the pictures could capture how cute this place was. and i wish that we would have thought about going to this place earlier! i don't really know how many people actually think about going in here, but the atmosphere was just so cute!..(haha..did i mention it was cute?)..sorry..there just isn't a better word to describe this place..it had this sweet little cottage feel. we will probably be making more trips to this place and hopefully it stays in business!

My friend Whitni and i had been secretly planning a little easter egg hunt for our boys. So on easter morning she sent weston over to "borrow" some syrup as she quickly hid the eggs. And then she called to " invite" us over to join them for breakfast. haha..we got there and the boys tried to act too old for an easter egg hunt, but we know they secretly thought it was pretty cool..

apparently it was pretty hilarious.. When we got home from church ryan said he had a little surprise for me..when we walked in he had set up an easter egg hunt for me..he had hid like 100 eggs..but they didn't have candy in them. instead ryan wrote little sweet nothings on pieces of paper. (much BETTER than candy!)he only put them in 2o of the eggs so i had to open every egg to find the little surprises..it was really sweet. i gotta LOVE my man!

crazy spontaneous hair change!

after dying eggs last night i guess i kinda had a little spontaneous urge to dye my hair! haha..i love drastically changing my hair and i haven't done it for a couple months..haha..so last night my friend whitni wanted me to dye her hair and she convinced me to do mine too! so while at walmart i thought if im gonna do it i might as well GO CRAZY! no worries folks...it's non-permanent dye. it'll be back to normal in about a month or so..hopefully....haha

I love dying easter eggs! Our families used to do it every year when we were growing up. So last night we invited our friends weston and whitni over to have some easter fun!

sick sick sick

I hate being sick. It's probably one of the worst things in the world! I have had the congestion, headache, runny nose-ish for 4 days now...it's not so great. And especially not so great because I can't work and ryan isn't working right now cuz he's needing to focus on school. We can't really afford for me to be sick! So..lets just hope I get better SOON!

For family home evening yesterday our good friends weston and whitni invited us to go to big juds with them! For those of you that have lived in rexburg or are living in rexburg you KNOW about this place! it was my first time going..i know shame on me after living in this place for THREE years! it was crazy! The burgers are ginormous! they might even look unappetizing..but they are SO good! we couldn't even finish half of it!..how pathetic is that!? but i don't think we went with the biggest appetite...their fries are similar to in-n-out burger..and i REALLY liked them! in fact, i'm craving it now and i kinda wanna go back tonight! but it's probably not worth the $14.00 to go every night..but most definetly for the experience at least once if not more!

utah trip

So this past weekend ryan and i headed to utah. We don't go as much as i would like, but recently we've made the trip more frequently..for those of you that don't know..it's about a 3 and a half hour drive and ryan hates it! so this weekend i begged him to go and bribed him by saying i would drive! I really wanted to go because one of my good friends from high school had gotten home from his mission and i wanted to be supportive! AND i kinda needed to renew my license..it was a month over due..oops! haha...on friday night ryan and i went down to provo to spend some time with my best friends alix and sarah beth. We got some takeout from PFchangs..delicious! And afterwards we went to this place called color me mine-you can paint bowls and mugs and plates and such. Alix works there and got a us a little discount! it was really fun! The weekend was an over all success and it was really nice to be able to go to this homecoming and see some old friends! And i drove the WHOLE time so ryan wouldn't have to! Ryan was a little trooper for tagging along and i was GRATEFUL!!
